Alexis Hoffman, daughter of Monte and Julie Hoffman, Fargo, was crowned Miss Red River Valley at a ceremony recently held at the West Fargo High School. She will now go on to compete in the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Pageant to be held in Williston in June.

Hoffman currently attends Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she is majoring in elementary education and mathematics. Her pageant platform issue is "Taking Every Breath for Granted: The Importance of Asthma Education Among Today’s Youth." Hoffman, also a member of the MSUM dance team, plans to perform a jazz dance for her talent.
